Good question. Somehow I overlooked that screensaver when I was
browsing the plugins page on slimdevices.com. I'd be willing to bet if
I saw it, I would have not written mine. 

My saver uses a different weather source. I would say parsing the XML @
www.weather.gov is less likely to break compared to parsing the HTML
data @ www.weather.com. I could be wrong, however. 

I have noticed that my local weather station XML feed is not always
updated every 60 minutes like they say it is. Sometimes 3 or 5 hours
pass before the temp is updated. Definately a drawback to my saver. 

As a spin off of this learning I have done, perhaps I will write a
plugin that fetches the XML weather warnings from www.weather.gov and
sound an alarm if a major event in the area is occuring. I bet I could
use the announcement05.pl plugin with my util.
