I'm not surprised as that's the area I think I've tested the least (or even
not at all!), and I think you're probably right that there's something extra
to do to get 'non-English' characters to display.

I can reproduce with my Björk album (which displays fine through the normal
browserdb methods), that so I think I'll be able to track it down.

Thanks - I'll post back as and when I make some progress.

Stuart

Subject: [SlimDevices: Plugins] Re: ANNOUNCE: Plugin for much
improvedsearching with the Squeezebox remote

Hi Stuart, Great plugin!
it simplifies search in a big way...

I have found a minor issue with it:
artist names (or song's/ album's) containing non-english characters are
shown with some "symbols" instead of the right non-english character.
That same name appears fine if I browse by artist in the standard
Slimserver menu and everywhere else in Slimserver, so its as if some
final character conversion is missing in the plugin to get the right
character to display.
(This is a display issue, not a search string issue, I mean: the search
string has all english characters (artist first name) so everything is
fine for searching, but when the search is done the result shows the
artist last name with these wrong characters)
