The $name variable in my modified code is run through decode_entities before being passed to execute, but it doesn't appear to have any effect which leads me to wonder if the name of the stream is retrieved from the stream once it starts to play, and that the name encoded in the stream contains entities which are not being decoded by Now Playing - by this stage it is beyond the control of AlienBBC.
