Well, not really. The "Tweak Order" functions as they're called on the
empeg are more direct than the MoodLogic/MusicMatch functionality as I
understand them. When I use the tweak functions, I *know* I want
another entry from that artist, year, etc. right now (next song.) It's
more interactive and more hands-on for control freaks like me. :) I
don't necessarily care that I get the exact song I'm thinking of, just
another random song from that artist, or from that album, etc.

Since James thinks this should be doable, I guess I better start
coding. :)

As you alluded to, SonicBlue was just an inept parent company, and
their purchase of empeg, Ltd. was a deal with the devil. They
absolutely needed to be purchased (they didn't have the resources to
continue as an independent company) but SonicBlue was the absolute
wrong suitor. Their marketing sucked, their support was even worse,
and they squandered a lot of innovative ideas that came out of the
empeg shop in Cambridge.

Yup, I'm one of the more active users over there. There are a handful
of Slimp3/Squeezebox owners over there who convinced me that the
Squeezebox3 was the way to go, and I'm happy with my purchase so far.

Now, to get that tweak order thing going....
