I was listening from another room to a complation album yesterday of unfamilar music and thought how useful it would be to have an announcer plugin which would do something like this:
Use a text to speech convertor to announce the next track name and artist. If you can get that far, then options to announce year, album name, genre etc. might be a feature others would use. Perhaps controlled by a setup / ini line like: Annoucement=<track> & " by " & <artist> Then, this could be changed to say: Announcement="Next song is " & <track> & " from the album " & <album> "recorded the year " & <year> where the variables are inserted into the string and then converted to speech. Any thoughts?
