With all the recent mplayer bug squashing the version of mplayer on
SlimCD 1.1 is a touch out of date - it certainly isn't working reliably
for me with the "two streams" problem

Oh, I must have missed something... As I'm always using the same stream through AlienBBC (DRS3 - in the "others" menu) I never noticed any problem.

- so I wondered if anyone had a
compiled x86 Linux version of the current mplayer source (with patches)
that could be made available for download?

Could you please point me to some web page where I can download the sources. The version included with SlimCD I compiled myself.

This would be a good moment for this to be updated as I'm planning on a new release based on DSL 2.0 (improved hardware support).

Ideally for Damned Small Linux as used by SlimCD (my only Linux box)!

Excellent! (well, not the fact, that you're still using Windows on other machines, but rather the fact that an otherwise Windows only user is able to use SlimCD :-))

:) The current version on SlimCD 1.1 seems to date back to 11 June
2005.

It's older than this. It dates back to 2004.
