The AlienBBC 1.0 install now looks good. Version 1.0 added some checks which other versions didn't have - so the V1.0 install found some problems with previous install that went undetected.
Unfortunately you have cut too much off the 2nd log. The important bit are just after BBC stations is selected and Mplayer starts up - followed by the message you logged. >From what I can gather - Mplayer is running and passing data to Slimserver and Slimserver is reading it.
