Or, as an alternative to just hiding discovery mode, replace Discovery Mode [] with Discovery Mode not available ... kind of analagous to greying out a menu item, saves you the frustration of trying to find a menu item which has been thoughtfully removed as being invalid. If you were feeling really enthusiastic, you could do something similar instead of eliminating the "personal" item: replace user/<username>/personal -> with user/<username>/personal not valid in Discovery mode ... which could save a few "bug" reports here about personal stations disappearing!
