Dear all,

sitting here waiting for my SB3, I play around using Softsqueeze. Man,
I thought it would be a nice music player, but it's soooo much more
that's incredible!

I've looked some at the plugins listed here at slimdevices.com, and
installed some of them. However, I can't find a plugin that reads the
database of weather stations. That would be an awesome application. At
least for people that have a weather station ;)

I have a La Crosse 2310 weatherstation, which records a lot of
information which I then can read on the base station with its
displays, and at the computer using a software. I can also publish the
data to wunderground and other places, including my own website.
But...

...it would be so much more cool if I actually could have the weather
readings on my SB!

So, anyone out there who would like to help out and program this stuff,
or know of a plugin that does the work reading the databse?! I can
supply a database for the person who wants to code the plugin.
as a note, there are quite a few La Crosse and Davis weatherstations
out there, so if we could also get them to buy SB's.... ;)

PS. I saw the baseball/weather plugin, but I would prefer to have local
readings.

PS2. Hmmm, perhaps the person behind the baseball/weather-plugin could
instead change it so that it reads data from wunderground and let us
enter any wunderground weather station instead of weather.com (which
have really poor actual data and forecasts for people living outside
the US)??? That would be even more excellent. Then everyone with a
weatherstation (and everyone else) can make use of the SB to display
local weather data!
I would love to wake up to my SB and have a look at it to know that
it's +20C outside and 1030mbar :)
