I think this is an IRBlaster issue. Slimserver keeps crashing when skipping between specific tracks. This error is repeatable and each time the last messages in the slimserver.log file is as follows.
*** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[1] file:///home/kefa/music/beethoven/symphonien %20nos %20& %20%20- %20karajan 0erlin 80766e4hilharmoniker/03.%20allegro%20vivace.flac *** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[0] play *** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[1] *** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[0] newsong *** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[1] *** IR-Repeater: Player: Lounge Connected: 1 *** IR-Repeater: Player: Bedroom Connected: 1 *** IR-Blaster: paramsRef->[0] open Modification of a read-only value attempted at /usr/local/slimserver/Plugins/IRBlaster/Plugin.pm line 877. I should perhaps point out that this only occurs after I have updated the IRBlaster/Plugin.pm file to set $debug = 1 in line 120, so it may not affect regular users!! I just wonder whether this is due to the slimserver config or log files being updated in a non-safe way. Should debug messages not use the $::d_plugins && msg(... approach for updating to be completely safe. I'm only a beginner so I could have this all wrong.
