I don't know but it is somewhat confusing.  The LastFM plugin seemed to
work in ~/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins/ but the SlimScrobbler plugin
didn't.

The problem with the "correct" destination of
/Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins is
that the SlimServer.prefPane doesn't appear as a directory on the Mac. 
You actually need to ctrl-click on it to gain access to the directories
beneath.

Documentation for using LastFM and SlimScrobbler on the Mac should
really mention this as I think most Mac users would not know this and
would assume that Plugins meant the visible
~/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins/ rather than the other Plugins directory
which is essentially hidden.
