Many recent Linux / OSX problems seem to related to older builds of mplayer. The last official Mplayer release is old and so a good recent build depends on an ordinary user to compile a new version and make it available to others.
It would be very beneficial to all AlienBBC OSX users if someone would make a new build from the latest CVS as there changes since 27-Dec-05. There are 3 main reasons: 1. Bug fixes 2. Built in RealAudio codec so no additional codecs for most RealAudio streams - hence simple install. 3. Support of "bandwidth" which can make "Listen Again" start in 2 secs instead of 15 and skip forward/back also happens in about 2 secs. I don't have an OSX system but for Linux building mplayer was straightforward and here is a link for the procedure which look right: http://tinyurl.com/e8cpd If someone builds a new version - just PM me and I'll host it. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=21865 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
