James, I had this plugin working great on my XP machine then I made a recent change to mac. I followed the directions on the readme but it isn' working. Can you help me figure these problems out for 6.51b.
1) I downloaded and dragged the iTunesUpdate folder to the user/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins folder 2) Went through the instructions to install Mac::Applescript::Glue. I think it worked but it kept asking about appending something. I am just not sure if it totally worked. Is there a way to verify it? Is there a way to roll this install back? 3) I restarted the computer and the updater does not show up in the Plugins ares. You directions say to do this: "b) You may find that the plugin does not appear at all in SlimServer. If this is the case it needs to be installed in an alternate location; Rather than [USERNAME]/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins/ try putting the Plugin directory in /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins" The problem is there is no such folder as /Library/PreferencePanes/SlimServer.prefPane/Contents/server/Plugins . I get so far as /Library/PreferencePanes/. I tried creating SlimServer.prefPane as a folder but it isn't a folder. Just what should I do here? So, what am I missing? I don't seem to be able to get this. Also, on the XP I had indirect updating and ran a script to update iTunes. How does this work in OS X. I didn't get it from the Readme notes.
