I installed mplayer-586 using the Synaptec package manager
I donwloaded the AlienBBC plugin and added the contents to
/usr/share/slimserver. I made sure mplayer.sh was executable by
everybody.
I could not find the slimserver-convert.conf file that I am meant to
edit for the pre7 mplayer.
AlienBBC appears on my squeezebox. But it fails to connect.
I suspect a permissions problems.
Any suggestions?
add a new reposity using synaptic package manager
deb http://packages.freecontrib.org/ubuntu/plf/ breezy free non-free
You then need to add the w32codecs package
