Was primarily trying to use on a PDA and it seems that with my combination or router & PDA the two would connect when first opened but would then hang. Seems DHCP does not work with my combination of Ipaq with Sandisk Wifi + Belkin wireless router. When I specified a fixed IP (& DNS server for internet) everything works. Then fixed port & bingo...!!
Did you use the server's name or the IP address in SlimRemote's settings? There seems to be a problem with name resolution. A problem I haven't found a solution (nor the reason!) so far. Just be sure you're using the IP address.
