Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this problem. I use Softsqueeze 2.3 from work and connect to SS 6.5 at home. I have bitrate limited to 128. Once in a while (almost every day) when I stream a file it will screech (like fast-forwarding an old cassette) and then it won't play and I will be unable to get Softsqueeze to connect again. I'm also unable to bring up SS in a browser. When I go home there is that Microsoft Send/Don't Send message regarding LAME. When I get rid of that msg then everything is back to normal.
Here's my config: XP Home SS 6.5 (from 3-31-06) but happens on 6.2.1 also Lame 3.96.1 but happens on 3.97b also Softsqueeze 2.3 This is a premature post in that I haven't figured out if it only happens when I play MP3's or FLAC. And I also haven't investigated what the LAME error is at home. I will do that tonight. Just wondering if this happens to others as well.
