Hi, I'm the author of the plugin. I am currently running SlimServer 6.2.1 on Windows, and the plugin works fine for me. (Not that that helps you, of course...)
One thing to try would be to set the $start_channel configuration value to 0. Perhaps having an invalid start channel causes it to fail to display the initial listing. Another possibility is that your listings data is for a date range that does not include the current day. The plugin does not display listings data before today or after $days_to_show days into the future, where $days_to_show is configurable (defaults to 5). The "favorite shows" submenu uses different logic - it displays all shows that occur after the current time. This difference could account for why your shows appear in the "favorite shows" but not in the other submenus.
