Thanks for the quick response Felix, but that isn't it. The Sky+ box is inside an aluminium cabinet and doesn't receive any signal unless the IR repeater is enabled.
Are you certain my guess isn't what's actually going on? Is there any way I can test whether the SB thinks it's receiving two commands in quick succession by using one or more of the server debugging options?
