Hi all, I've run into two problems, and am including as much information as I can so we can figure out what's going wrong here (hopefully). I just did a fresh install of Ubuntu Breezy Badger Linux, and grabbed the slimserver Debian package. Since installing, I've added 3 plugins. Those are LazySearch, TrackStat, and MusicInfo. FYI - Slimserver 6.5b1, FW 43.
Here is the problem I was having with TrackStat: I believe that Trackstat was causing my now playing list to get wiped out after every song played. The player would then stop, and I would have to manually redo the playing list. Pointless because after the next song, the playing list go wiped out again. Here is a clip of the log file which I think was relevent: 2006-04-20 00:28:33.6487 Couldn't open: /usr/sbin/Plugins/TrackStat/SQL/SQLite/dbupgrade_musicbrainz.sql : No such file or directory 2006-04-20 00:28:33.6493 DBD::SQLite::db prepare failed: no such table: track_statistics(1) at dbdimp.c line 269 at /usr/share/slimserver/Plugins/TrackStat/Storage.pm line 436. The thing that is odd here, is that the plugin is stored in /usr/share/slimserver/Plugins/TrackStat. But for some reason it was trying to access /usr/sbin/Plugins. I seem to have fixed this problem by creating the directory /usr/sbin/Plugins and copying the TrackStat Plugin to that directory. I don't know if this is a problem with the Plugin or with the Debian installation. LazySearch, I still haven't been able to get working, but I don't know what to try. Here is the relevent log file clipping: 2006-04-20 00:37:10.9442 Use of uninitialized value in string eq at /usr/share/slimserver/Plugins/LazySearch2.pm line 600. AFAIK, the server has had plenty of time to scan all the songs (I've done a rescan manually). I don't know what is causing this error. This is TrackStat 1.14.1. As always, thanks for any help offered.
