Thanks for the data. Now somebody explain this... I expected the "do"
times to be fairly constant between platforms as it's the time needed to
send the query to the server and receive it's response. But this time
seems to vary a lot on your system.
On the other hand the only potential for optimization I could imagine was
in the "prepare" part. Very interesting: this seems to be _faster_ on your
PDA (generally << 100ms) than on your laptop (>100ms)... I run out of
ideas :-/
Sometimes the laptop version freezes at the 62% startup point and I
have to delete the slimremote registry entry to get it to work again.
Is this reproducable if you restart without removing the registry keys? If
yes: could you turn on d_cli in slimserver before restarting? What's the
last statement before it locks up?
