I don't know what the implications are, but Slim Devices should consider integrating this plug-in in the SqueezeNetwork. My Slimserver is not on all the time, but is "almost always" connected to SqueezeNetwork... even when I turn off the SqueezeBox. For me having just the time displayed is overkill as my Cable box DVR and VCR, which are in the same cabinet as my SB, also display the time.
Unreleated: I mentioned this before in another post, but shouldn't the SqueezeBox have an "option" to switch to the SqueezeNetwork automatically if the Slimserver is unavailable? What's so difficult about implementing this "option" in the firmware of the SB?
