The question mark you indicated in your previous message indicates it experienced a networking error while it was trying to fetch an update. There have been a lot of changes to the async http code in SlimSever recently, so perhaps that broke something. I'm pretty sure it's working in the latest 6.5 nightly though, so I'm not sure why 6.3 would be any different.
