short answer: because there is a BIOGRAPHY string in the Biography Plugin.pm, and that worked, so I copied the idea.
Now you got me... Honestly: I don't even know why that string is there. I searched the code and didn't find any reference, renamed it without any obvious side effect. I'll remove it.
