I am using the Dynamic Playlist plugin, which is great.
However, I've now got quite a few items now cluttering the dynamic playlist
menu (especially hard to navigate on the player UI), mainly due to the
playlists that are added from TrackStats plugin. I know I can select what
playlists get added to the Dynamic Playlist menu, most of them are all quite
reasonable - I may want to access any of these at some point.
Can I suggest that some kind of structure be added to Dynamic Playlist?
Ideally, I'd like to see similar playlists grouped together, so I might have
something like the following:
Random ->
Artist
Album
Song
Last Added ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Played ->
Last Played ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Least Played ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Most Played ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Never Played ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Played Long Ago ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Rated ->
[1 - 5 star options] ->
Artists/Albums/Songs
Top rated (4 * or higher) ->

I suppose some people might like the menus/submenus arranged differenly (eg.
perhaps three top-level menus to select Artist, Album or Song, then some
breakdown within that), but I don't know how you would make it too configurable
without a lot of effort. It would be nice if this worked a bit like the Alien
BBC plugin menus (Web UI and player UI), whereby maybe there are different ways
to drill down to the playlist you want (cross-references).
The SQL Playlist plugin could be adapted to add user-defined playlists into a
structure simply by adding the files in sub-folders within the root SQL
Playlist folder.
Is this possible?
