71 seconds is a long time to build a web page.. Sounds like your server is resonably slow and maybe the code needs more tuning for slow servers.
Could I suggest you take this up on the beta forum as this is not really an Alien problem. If you notice it most with Alien rather than playing music directly from the server then it means remote streaming is impacted most.
