What's new ? Well, fun stuff really.. I've been looking into different
and more interesting ways of choosing albums via Cover Art and came up
with the new Cover Chooser window. It sorts and filters by the overall
hue of the cover image then tries to space each cover to fill the
window space equally. The spacing is all done dynamically, so you get
a kind of popcorn machine effect at the start which turns into a kind
of brownian motion thing.. Erm.. Tricky to describe - give it a go..
Calculating this overall hue ('Update Thumbnail Cache' button) can be
a bit time-consuming, but once you've done it, you dont need to do it
again until you next rescan your library as it saves the values in the
moose file.
Another new feature is the 'Colour' tab in the library window.. This
just sorts the album list via one of the various modes that you can
specify in the 'Colour Sort Mode' option in Preferences->Library..
Again you need to of clicked the 'Update Thumbnail Cache' button to
calculate the colours..
