Well that's the output message I get... right up there ^^^^ copied straight from the command line. As I say, softsqueeze connects fine across the segments. But it was locking up, playing all hiss, and stuttering alot. I increased the buffer from 128000 to 356000 thinking it might be a prob with flac or something. It would still get stuck sometimes playing one second portions over and over and finally catching up. Now I've set the server machine(on XP p4 2.4 768) to favor background services and memory. Actually right now after leaving it off for a while to play with sslave it seems to be working fine although I don't dare try to skip a song or rewind. Maybe the SME was clamscanning or something. SME is a p3 900 768 but...
