Have tried this but I seem to be getting an access denied error. Is it possible to supply a username/password with LinNeighbourhood or smbmount?
Of course: when using LinNeighbourhood, click a workgroup/domain right, select "scan group as user". You than can define domain, user and password (and more).
Using smbmount it's something like "smbmount -o username=gugus, password=dada ..." (just run smbmount without any parameter to get more information about the options).
