It is a lot easier to not run as a service, than to run the script! But what you need to do is; install Perl from ActiveState, free and available from here I guess http://www.activestate.com/Products/ActivePerl/?psbx=1 When installing, if asked about associating .pl files with perl, make sure this is selected.
