I know there are few threads out there already about Music IP, so I'm sorry if this is redundant, but I can't find my issue - and I don't know if it's a Slimserver bug or a problem with Music IP, or just me. Anyway, here's my story:
I recently upgraded to SlimServer Version 6.5b1 - 8825 - Windows XP - EN - cp1252. I am using MySQL 5.0 as the database, and as part of the upgrade I had to drop and re-build the database schema as it had changed. So I got the new schema built, and did a "clear and rescan all" of my library. So far, so good. However, every album and every track now has the little "mm" icon next to it (in the web interface - can't test from my SB because the firmware update is also broken, but that's a different topic); in the past, only some albums and tracks had the "mm" icon - the mixable ones. In addition, whenever I click on the "mm" icon on a track to make a new mix, I see the MusicMagic Mix screen, but it's totally empty. Same behavior with every track, album, and artist. I opened up Music IP (which I have running as a windows service, just like Slimserver) and did a refresh as well as a rescan for new songs. That went fine. I saved the new library cache and triggered a Slimserver clear and rescan, and I'm getting the same behavior. I really hope the answer is not to have Music IP re-scan my whole library because that can easily take 2 days of high-CPU usage, thus essentially locking me out of my PC for the duration. Has anyone else had this problem? I think I'm starting the services in the right order (i.e. start Music IP first, then start Slimserver) and I'm not sure what else to try. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
