A simple sleep would be nice though - especially if it is internet radio that is playing.
i.e. tune to internet radio station late at night - then set sleep for n minutes. At n minutes - playing is stopped - saving bandwidth (if using internet radio) and providing quiet sleep. The gradual volume delay over time from the original post could be phase 2 ;) Not sure I have the skills to do this myself - but will take a look at existing plugins to see if I can work it out.
