Just curious as to why even when idle Moose uses 50% CPU.
Shouldnt be using that much unless it's building playlists or having problems connecting to the server.. Whilst idle it's just sitting there requesting the current play-status of the selected player and updating the UI if it's non-minimised. Done some tests on my PC. When minimised, it uses 0% with little spikes to 2% every-so-often. With Now Playing open, and in the background it uses from 5% to 10%. With windows passing over Now Playing, you get the odd 50% while it redraws. Going crazy resizing Now Playing and you get up to 95% while it redraws. With Now Playing open, and in the foreground it uses from 15% to 25%. Opening the library is 95% whilst it loads in the moo file and populates controls. Library foreground seems to be around 18% The now playing window is pretty graphics intensive, so maybe it's that ? You could try the 'flat' background style maybe ? I could also add an option to disable all the various transparency and grad fills. Another thing it could be is system memory. Are you paging out to disk whilst it's in this 50% state ? -- - Dr Lovegrove http://www.rusticrhino.com/drlovegrove _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
