M1abrams, I can't understand the version issue either, can you make sure you have the CLI plugin enabled. It's not something I've thought of before but the CLI was moved to a plugin in 6.5.
If that doesn't work can you try 6.3? In the next version the 'Unknown Server Version' dialog will show the string that is returned from the server so that should indicate where it's going wrong. I only look for '6.3' or '6.5' in the string so I can't see how it would fail. PM me your email and I'll send you a copy. Regarding the base path, It's the part of the MC song filename that needs to be replaced with the Slimserver Music Directory to generate a file name that is correct from Slimserver's perspective. it could be a simple as just the drive letter. In my example Slimserver audio dir is D:\Music MC Base Path is Z:\Music because Z is a mapped drive to D: on my server When MC plays a track it gives the full filename ie Z:\Music\Pink Floyd\Mother.flac To make Slimserver play it I have to remove the MC base path to get \Pink Floyd\Mother.flac then add the Slimserver Audio Dir to get D:\Music\Pink Floyd\Mother.flac This now points to the file correctly on the server. If I passed the server Z:\Music\Pink Floyd\Mother.flac it would fail because Z: doesn't exist. Hope this explains it.
