I've upgraded to 6.5 and installed AlienBBC 1.06, and something has broken - I can no longer listen to any BBC stations. In the log I get:
2006-09-28 08:51:33.7322 Timer Task > 0.5 : 3.74352 Slim::Hardware::IR::checkRelease Streaming: Launching mplayer -really-quiet -vc null -vo null -bandwidth 10000000 -cache 128 -af volume=0,resample=44100:0:1,channels=2 -ao pcm:nowaveheader:file=/dev/fd/3 rtsp://rmlivev8.bbc.net.uk/farm/*/ev7/live24/radio1/live/r1_dsat_g2.ra MPlayer 1.0pre8-rpm.livna.org-4.1.1 (C) 2000-2006 MPlayer Team CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 2.40GHz (Family: 15, Model: 2, Stepping: 9) CPUflags: MMX: 1 MMX2: 1 3DNow: 0 3DNow2: 0 SSE: 1 SSE2: 1 Compiled with runtime CPU detection. mplayer: could not connect to socket mplayer: No such file or directory Now, if I try launching mplayer manually from the command line, with something like: mplayer -bandwidth 10000000 -cache 128 -playlist http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio4/realplayer/media/fmg2.rpm ...it works OK. Any pointers anyone? Thanks, Jon.
