Have you installed SoftSqueeze 3.2

I think running slimserver from a command line may provide some more
info.

The following instruction assume that slimserver has been installed in
the default directory which is C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server - if
slimserver was not installed in the default location then replace this
path by the one which leads to the directory containing slim.exe.
1. Stop slimserver probably from the systray icon.
2. Click "Start" button and then "run" menu.
3. Enter "cmd" in the dialogue field and press return; a command prompt
window (i.e. c:/> ) should open
4. Enter the command at the prompt
cd C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server

Enter the command "slim.exe" with the relevant debug option such
–d_source and –d_plugins as follow
slim --d_source --d_plugins

Messages will scroll up - look for error messages during startup and
also if there are timestamps on the log messages.

You can hit CTRL/C to stop slimserver and so prevent more messages to
view the log messages. You can make the window bigger (longer/wider)
from the properties dialog accessed through top left corner icon of
command window.
