I haven't really used MusicIP all that long to be able to judge it yet, but it seems promising. My main concearn right now is the unstability of SS :(
What issues do you have? I have been running a 6.5.1 nightly for more than two weeks without one single restart before I upgraded again a few days back. And I'm using MIP.
Hopefully they will release a public/offical 6.5.1 that address the large amount of issues currently being reported.
If you're still on 6.5.0 then I'd recommend updating to a 6.5.1 nightly. Most of the reported bugs have been fixed. If you're suffering from a bug not fixed yet, please add information and details to the corresponding bug on bugs.slimdevices.com (if possible).
