No, read what I wrote above. IPeng tries to use the trackartist. But if there is no trackartist in what the server returns for that menu (e.g. Because the query defined by the menu you were selecting doesn't define it), it falls back to the general "artist" item which should contain a default artist, usually either the track artist or the album artist. I suspect that if in the query you were filtering by composer somehow it might use the composer there instead.
One thing I could try to do is to always add the parameter for the trackartist but that would only work if there is an item parameter at all since I don't want to skew any filters, that might return wrong results.
