I tried to replicate what you described.  I put my PC to sleep, woke it
up, and left Squeeze Ctrl minimized for a couple of hours with a few
other apps running and nothing.  No lockups.

Granted, this was done with an upcoming updated version, but I don't
think I changed anything that would affect suspending or resuming the
app.

To make sure the test is as close to what the user would experience,
this was done with a release build not a debug one and it was installed
thru the Windows App Store using a beta channel I created for myself.

I have no idea why minimizing the app would lock up Explorer on your
computer. Maybe you're low on RAM? Or maybe you have a different version
of Win 10? I'm using the anniversary update.  I don't remember if I had
to do a clean reinstall of Win 10 after I updated from Win 8.1, but that
may also be a reason?
