have you rebooted your network (turn off everything including computer
running LMS and players).  Turn off/unplug modem and router. Let modem
and router fully start, start PC and let LMS fully start, then turn
on/plugin SB player.

p.s. just tried my spotify in LMS 7.9 and it works fine. I'm in US.
