I've built 0.41.1 for armel no fpu for the dockstar also armv5te. The shairport_helper-armel helper binary uses very little cpu while running ~7%.
I had to create symlinks to mdns.c, mdnsd.c and tinysvcmdns.c and add -I$(MDNSSD) to the Makefile for a successful build and Utils.pm needs a change to handle the armel helper. I also rounded up the perl ssl modules from debian 6 (5.10) and 7 (5.14) for armel. I can create a pull request or post the bits here if you'd like.
