I've mapped the NAS to M: in my Windows 2000 server and entered the path in \\server\directory format, because Slimserver wouldn't accept M: as a valid path/drive. While I still had the library statistics enabled, I could see that scanning the path had skipped thousands of audio files, i.e. they were not entered into Slimserver database at all.

It's under Server settings - Formatting - Guess tags format. Found it, thanks for the tip. It's got four syntaxes as default. Regardless, scanning misses thousands of files. First full scan found only 2,600 files out of 71,200. > One minute for a single page in Browse Music Folder is a very long time. > Do you keep all your files in a single directory without subfolders? Heck no. I've got quite a comprehensive directory tree, organized by genre or artist. That one minute refresh time actually applied to a directory which had 700 albums in it, each in their own subdirectory. > You can also limit the number of items per page under Server settings - > Interface - Items per page. It's set to 50, which is the default, I think. -- Jim di Griz ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Jim di Griz's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=8245 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=29199 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
