Well, yeah, I did that :-) And that's what I'm asking. For a noob that's
pretty well versed in shell and php scripting and just starting with php,
which would be a good plugin to look at for a start?
ah, which specifically. Well, the wiki docs on plugin development
base the examples on the Rescan plugin (Plugins/Rescan.pm) which is
good for the basic core stuff. Plugin/DateTime/Plugin.pm is a good
example for a simple screensaver (not to mention, it is the preferred
directory structure going forward). Lastly, I'd suggest RandomPlay
(Plugins/RandomPlay/*) for handling a web UI if you need one.
If you run into any problems, please feel free to ask any specific
questions in the developer's forum.
