BBC have pulled the plug on the XML API that Extras uses.  This has been
expected for the last few years.  The message BBC warning this would
ahhpen is as follows

In other words - I could change the XML code to use JSON but that will
die very soon as well so why bother.   BBC says there are other options
for these feeds available elsewhere from the BBC  - they are not saying
if they are available nor how to use them.
