I could put the CD to work. I burned it in another machine and... bingo...

After a reboot, none was set in the slimserver. How can this be persistent?
You'll have to define a partition where your configuration can be backed up (a fat32 partition on your disk, or a USB stick or something). You can define it using the menu Setup->Backup/Restore.
2. Is it possible to install the slimcd into the hd?
Yes. There are different options available through the menu Apps->Tools. I'd recommend the frugal install.
