Jerky visualizers has been seen before, but I believe it better now than it once was. If you go to server settings - file types and deselect the rtsp->flc one and select rtsp->wav does it change?
As for adding to settings, you should be able to add all but they may not work later as the stream url which settings stores may have changed.
