Until recently it was not possible to officially install Andoid Radio iPlayer if outside the UK but it could be side loaded. I now have Radio iPlayer loaded from the store and have not been asked to sign in. The iOS and Android app uses different interface (Nitro) for programs than the BBCiPlayer plugin (a special vendor feed). Nitro has a userid per applications so If BBC are adding yet another id (on top of the Google id which a user has used touse Android) - this seems like overkill. For the moment, unless things stop working or there is definitive and permanent change to the plugin interface (e.g. BBC add a warning message like when using the XML API used by Extras) nothing can be done. I would advise not to post speculation as otherwise the thread will just get clogged.
