You shouldn't need Alien BBC for this XM plugin.

Not sure why you'd be getting that.  Do you have direct WMA support
enabled?  This new version of the XM plugin only supports direct
streaming. Make sure you have the following checked on your server
settings/file types page:

For debugging, please set the d_plugins and d_directstream flags on the
server settings/debugging page.  Note, you don't need to set these from
the command line.  Setting them from the web interface just prior to
pressing play will capture enough information about the problem.

Sorry you're having a tough time getting it working.  Hopefully, we can
get it fixed for the 6.5 folks in the next day or two.
