No problem - I've seen similar things myself that caused scanner.pl to
crash (this was quite a while ago, though), but SS fixes in nightlies
fixed that.

Since the LazySearch updates to the database take place after the
normal database scan is finished (and hence the message on the web page
would already have gone by that stage), there shouldn't be any way the
plugin could cause the normal database scan to fail to terminate.

I suspect that running the scanner with logging turned on will help
identify the suspect track.
