With FLAC the process spotty-muslhf peaks at around 50% at the start of a track then falls back to 5-8% and the process flac peaks at 7% then falls back to around 1.7%. With PCM the process spotty-muslhf peaks at around 37-40% then falls back to 5-8%. The peak CPU is reduced from around 57% to around 37% using PCM.
