Buz: Don't know if you're still around, but what model receiver do you have?
I have an 8400 which has a poorly-documented plug called "FLASHER IN". The manual states it's for "keyboards, etc. in remote zones". Seeing as it had a 3.5 mm plug I tried it anyway. It worked perfectly with learned IR codes! So I don't know if your receiver has a "FLASHER IN" plug but if it does, that's the one to use.
